re CALLING ALL FUTURE BAKERS

Novice baker here. Baking is much better than I thought it would be. Just did it to cover the shifts better. But so needed, so necessary. Not always easy but other bakers give great support. Anons also give support/feedback. Just ignore shills, WTF do they know, anyways??

One tip: Don't overdo. I pushed a little too hard & had to scale back, to stay strong for the long haul. Sometimes just relieving a baker for a single bread makes a difference.

Benefits of baking:

  1. Get to support anon efforts, let them know their efforts are valued (whether they make Notes or not).

  2. Get to talk with anons, ask questions or make comments (not just list Notes). Best during slower breads but possible anytime at least a little bit.

  3. Ask anons for help with Notable noms I don't understand (like diggs from PB). Let them know bakers appreciate some context to help them make decisions.

  4. Knowing that what you're doing is essential to infrastructure. Great satisfaction.

  5. Good for ego reduction–mistakes are public but who cares?? Anything can be corrected.

On getting to name the bread:

Usually, I set up the thread when I'm doing a million other things and can't think of a good name to save my life. Kek. Maybe I'll try asking anons for better ideas during slower breads.

>If you have to ask, you shouldn't bake.

From newer baker: Do not agree. How can someone know what it's like to bake until they actually do it? I had no idea, other than that I was completely TERRIFIED. Afraid I'd let down everyone and screw things up. Takes a lot of work but well worth the effort.

practice, practice, practice

That's what it takes to bake.

Why climate change is key issue for Dems:

  1. Most libs (especially) care about nature (natural Romantics, yes?)

  2. They know pollution has been a problem since the Industrial Rev. and so are poised to believe any and all claims about our effect on the climate

  3. Nobody can easily prove or disprove claims about Climate Change because there are too many variables involved. Empirical sciences do better with less than 4 variables. More than that, and things get hard to track using existing methodologies. So you can pick your statistics and say whatever you want!

Try not to obsess, anon. You want moar money? Go get a great job and make lots of dough. You don't have to work here "for free" (if that is what you think you're doing as an anon).
