This seems a bit hysterical. This yeast’s “claim to fame”is the fact that it is resistant to antifungal agents that kill other Candida species. Generally, yeasts are associated with infections in immunocompromised individuals and usually cause infection by contamination of medical devices like IV lines or ventilators. Yeasts, like many other infectious agents, do not penetrate intact skin. .Tbh I expect some researcher(s) somewhere are trying to get funding to support a research project.
