Separation of powers, etc … no. Article III Judges are a force unto themselves. Congress can remove a judge, but rarely has. One judge it removed for bribery ran for and got into Congress. Alcee Hastings.

 

There is a species of judge called Administrative Law Judge. IRS, Immigration, and various other agencies have these. These critters are part of the executive branch, not part of the judicial branch. Theoretically, Trump can fire an ALJ.

Clinton didn't fire judges. You are mixing judges up with US Attorneys ("the prosecutors"). Since at least Reagan, ALL presidents fire ALL US Attorneys at the start of their first term.
