The Taliban claimed it shot down US B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber while it was taking off from Shawrab airbase in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan.
“Mujaheddin of the Islamic Emirate targeted US B-52 bomber with heavy weapons today early morning in Lar area in Washir district of Helmand province, the bomber went down and all its crew were killed while smoke still rising from the crash site”, Taliban’s spokesman Qarri Muhammad Yousef Ahmad said.
No confirmation or comment by officials in Afghanistan or the US yet.

Breaking: Chuck Norris New Glock Gun Brand Spokesman
For years, the left has advocated and tried to abolish the second amendment. Despite the second amendment being embedded in the nation’s values, the left wants to take the guns away. It really didn’t help their mental state when the Glock gun brand announced their new official spokesman.

For years, Chuck Norris has been revealed as a great American hero and a top-notch martial arts expert. He is well-known and loved by both the right and the left. Many remember him from the hit television series, “Walker Texas Ranger.”
That said, the left came unhinged after the announcement from Glock that Norris would be their official spokesman.
“Chuck Norris revolutionized and ushered martial arts into the American mainstream just like Glock revolutionized firearms by inventing and commercializing polymer-based pistols and the ‘Safe Action’ System,” Josh Dorsey, Vice President of Glock, said in a news release. Why Avengers: Endgame trailer showed off those new white suits
Among the many highlights of the Avengers: Endgame trailer was the first glimpse of the team's snazzy new suits.
There's a lot of speculation surrounding those white outfits, one of the heaviest rumours being that they will help the Avengers enter the Quantum Realm.
Of course, we're not going to get any clear answers until later this month when Endgame is released, but Marvel boss Kevin Feige has opened up about why they teased the suits in the first place.

"We call them the team suits," Feige told io9. "And we early on decided [revealing them] was a big differentiating factor between [Endgame] and the other films.

Co-director Joe Russo added: "Obviously anything that goes into the trailers is really well considered. And whatever people want to take away from that they can take away from that."

BREAKING: White House To TARGET Illegal Alien Money Transfers Out of U.S.
The White House is planning on targeting the tens of billions of dollars in “remittance payments” sent by illegal immigrants back to their home countries, in the wake of an ongoing migrant flood at the U.S. Southern border, a senior administration official told reporters Tuesday.
The plans to target remittance payments come amid a broader shakeup at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and future executive actions designed to curb illegal immigration. The situation at the southern border has escalated in recent weeks, with thousands of migrants arriving daily to claim asylum.
Officials say the illegal arrivals are spurred by loopholes in U.S. immigration law that allow family units claiming asylum to arrive illegally and still be released into the interior of the country with a work permit.
The migrants are then given a court date at some point in the future to adjudicate the asylum claim, with the vast majority failing to ultimately get a favorable asylum ruling. These migrants rarely show up for deportation, with the senior administration official calling the practice “backdoor illegal immigration.”
Potential plans against remittances could follow one or all of anti-illegal immigration group BorderPAC‘s recomendations:
15-25% tax on all cash remittances to targeted countries
Ban on any remittances to Mexico, other nations, if sender cannot prove they are a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Temporary halt to all remittances to Mexico until that government halts caravans and enforces border controls to U.S.
The White House plan to go after remittance payments falls in line with a proposal from former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is being considered to replace outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
Kobach told Breitbart News on Tuesday that this will be an effective way for President Donald Trump to compel the Mexican government to take more enforcement action against Central Americans trafficking through their country.
Kobach told Breitbart:
“The threat I propose is one that actually helps us if we follow through on it. That is the threat of ending remittances from the majority of people in the United States from Mexico who are here illegally,” adding “they don’t want to risk losing that massive flow of foreign capital. In most years, it’s their second biggest source of foreign capital.”
How big is this flow? A stunning $30 billion annually to Mexico ALONE…
Mexico received the most, at a record $30 billion in 2018….and the three Northern Triangle nations targeted by President Trump’s funding threat over illegal immigration, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, received over $16 billion, according to an analysis by the Pew Research Center.
I spoke with a Senate staffer who said he is “stunned” that Trump is going after these cash outflows, and that is “signals a major hardening of enforcement” in the wake of his shakeup at DHS.

Breaking Report: Western Journal Blacklisted by Google, Despite CEO’s Testimony to Congress
Google reportedly blacklists news sites by manipulating search results, contrary to congressional testimony offered by the tech giant’s CEO in December.
Among the conservative sites Google has blacklisted, according to The Daily Caller, is the Conservative Tribune, which is the commentary page for The Western Journal.
“The purpose of the blacklist will be to bar the sites from surfacing in any Search feature or news product. It will not cause a demotion in the organic search results or de-index them altogether,” reads the policy document obtained by The Daily Caller.
The blacklist applies to most search features, like “top news” and “videos.”
Seeking to address the notion Google has an anti-conservative bias, Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren asked the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai why the search term “idiot” returned a photo of President Donald Trump.
“We don’t manually intervene on any particular search result,” Pichai claimed. “It is not possible for an individual employee or groups of employees to manipulate our search results.”

Canada to reject refugees with claims in other countries
Canada intends to change the law to make it harder for asylum seekers rejected by countries like the US to file refugee claims at the border.
The move comes as thousands of asylum seekers have crossed the border after their claims were rejected in the US.
Amendments were introduced on Monday evening in the Liberal government's 392-page omnibus budget bill.
An influx of asylum seekers crossing at the US-Canada border has become a hot button political issue.
The law would allow immigration officers at the border to reject refugee claims if the asylum seeker has already made a claim in another country that has an immigration information-sharing agreement with Canada.
These countries include the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand.
The asylum seeker would no longer be entitled to an oral hearing and the claim could not be appealed to an independent tribunal.
Instead, denied claimants would have the right to submit a written, pre-removal risk assessment, which lawyer Kevin Wiener says has about a 3% success rate.
"I expect this to be a major change for Canada's refugee system and I'm surprised to see it buried in a budget bill," he told the BBC in an email.
"If immigration officers are going to be the new front-line decision-makers for a large volume of refugee claims, then the government needs to make sure they do a better job at providing fair and reasonable decision-making."
Some 20,000 asylum seekers crossed at the US border in 2018, many of whom had already made refugee claims in the US.
There are over 200,000 pending asylum claims, and the wait for hearings by Canada's refugee board have edged up to an average of 20 months.

Municipalities near the border have repurposed old stadiums and community centres into housing facilities for refugees waiting to have their claims processed.
It has caused tensions between the federal government and municipal and provincial governments, who have complained about funding refugee services.
In this year's budget, the government pledged to spend more than C$1bn ($750m; £580m) for border services over the next five years.

The Sun is spitting out 'lava lamp blobs' 500 times the size of Earth

The sun's corona constantly breathes wispy strings of hot, charged particles into space — a phenomenon we call the solar wind. Every now and then, however, those breaths become full-blown burps.
Perhaps as often as once every hour or two, according to a study in the February issue of the journal JGR: Space Physics, the plasma underlying the solar wind grows significantly hotter, becomes noticeably denser, and it pops out of the sun in rapid-fire orbs of goo capable of engulfing entire planets for minutes or hours at a time. Officially, these solar burps are called periodic density structures, but astronomers have nicknamed them "the blobs." "They look like the blobs in a lava lamp," Nicholeen Viall, a research astrophysicist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland and co-author of the recent study, told Live Science. "Only they are hundreds of times larger than the Earth ."
While astronomers have known about the blobs for nearly two decades, the origin and impact of these regular solar weather events remain largely mysterious. Until recently, the only observations of the blobs have come from Earth-bound satellites, which can detect when a train of blobs bears down on Earth's magnetic field ; however, these satellites can't account for the myriad ways the blobs have changed during their 4-day, 93-million-mile (150 million kilometers) journey from the sun.

Trump to issue executive order limiting states' power to block pipelines
President Trump will announce a pair of executive orders on Wednesday to help U.S. energy companies more quickly build pipelines and other infrastructure projects by expediting the environmental review process and by weakening states’ ability to block them.
The Trump administration, acting at the behest of the oil and gas industry, aims to stop liberal states like New York from halting pipeline projects using Section 401 of the Clean Water Act, which requires applicants to prove that potential leaks from an energy infrastructure project would not harm nearby streams or lakes.
Most notably, the state of New York has used that authority to block construction of the 125-mile Constitution Pipeline from Pennsylvania, which would provide natural gas to the state, despite the project earning approval in 2014 from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The administration, Republican lawmakers, and industry argue some states are abusing the authority and rejecting permits for political and policy reasons, as part of a broader opposition to fossil fuel infrastructure.
The Trump administration and its allies say a lack of sufficient pipelines has prevented industry from moving a a glut of oil and gas in producing areas to consuming areas in the Northeast, which suffer high energy prices during the winter because of a lack of supply.
"I am hopeful there is something that can be enacted that helps the situation," said Tony Clark, a former Republican commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which reviews interstate pipeline projects. "It's not good right now in terms of some states engaging in pure politics to stop projects needed in an entire region."
A Trump administration official said Tuesday night the president's executive order directs the Environmental Protection Agency to evaluate and update the guidance it provides to states on how to use its Clean Water Act authority. For example, it is advising the EPA to encourage states to make quicker decisions over water permits.
"We are not trying to take power from the states," the Trump administration official said. "We are trying to make sure state actions comply with the intent of the law."
The second executive order seeks to streamline the approval process for energy infrastructure projects that cross U.S. borders, by giving the president direct authority over issuing permits, instead of delegating the permitting to the State Department, which currently handles the licensing of cross-border energy projects. It would formalize an action Trump took last week to issue a presidential permit to allow the long-delayed Keystone XL pipeline project to move forward. Environmental groups quickly sued, claiming Trump lacked the authority to issue that permit.
It’s unclear how much of an effect Trump's new orders will have. ClearView, an energy research firm, says substantial changes to the Clean Water Act provision require action by Congress.
“We don’t think the executive order can stop states from saying no if they have a good reason,” said Christi Tezak, a managing director at ClearView who studies energy infrastructure.
And federal judges have also delayed the building of major natural gas infrastructure projects in Mid-Atlantic states in response to legal challenges, rejecting permits for the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley pipelines because of deficient environmental reviews from the federal government.
Some states are already pushing back at Trump's moves to re-evaluate the Clean Water Act authority.
The Western Governors Association, which has Republican members, has warned Trump against doing anything to upset the traditional collaboration between states and the federal government on environmental reviews.
"Western Governors have consistently asserted that curtailing or reducing state authority under Clean Water Act Section 401 would inflict serious harm to the division of state and federal authorities established by Congress," the association said in a statement.

CA Democrats Author Bill to Protect Sex Offenders Who Lure Minors
State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Assemblywoman Susan Eggman (D-Stockton) introduced recent legislation “to end blatant discrimination against LGBT young people regarding California’s sex offender registry.”
However, under their bill, SB 145, the offenders would not have to automatically register as sex offenders if the offenders are within 10 years of age of the minor.

Wiener claims the current law “disproportionately targets LGBT young people for mandatory sex offender registration, since LGBT people usually cannot engage in vaginal intercourse.”
Existing law, the Sex Offender Registration Act, amended by Proposition 35 by voters in 2012 (Ban on Human Trafficking and Sex Slavery), requires a person convicted of a certain sex crime to register with law enforcement as a sex offender while residing in California or while attending school or working in California.
Wiener says, “Currently, for consensual yet illegal sexual relations between a teenager age 15 and over and a partner within 10 years of age, ‘sexual intercourse’ (i.e., vaginal intercourse) does not require the offender to go onto the sex offender registry; rather, the judge decides based on the facts of the case whether sex offender registration is warranted or unwarranted. By contrast, for other forms of intercourse — specifically, oral and anal intercourse — sex offender registration is mandated under all situations, with no judicial discretion.”
“This bill would authorize a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors to seek discretionary relief from the duty to register if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor,” SB 145 states.
Proposition 35 was created and passed to protect children from sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. Victims of sex trafficking are often vulnerable children, “afraid for their lives and abused—sexually, physically, and mentally,” the Proposition said.
