Why does the hebrew calendar say 5778?

Yeah, I know… Just making a point of why we don't know.
Been reading about this for some time. I have come to believe that the calendar year is off by 296 years. And that Masonry has allowed for the cover-up of the real calendar for the End Times to do their bidding ahead of God.
Confusion about "Nobody knows the exact time." When we figure the truth of this out, at least the year could be revealed.
