As if that will wave off the people who conflate 2010 leaks with the election of 2016.
Same guy (Assange), totally unrelated leaks.

Indictment was filed March 6, 2018. A little over a year ago.
Computer hacking and disclosure of classified info.
18 USC 641
18 USC 793(c)
18 USC 793(e)
That the charges are related to a 2010 leak has been discussed for months.
I notice another (unrelated) conflation going on in the press, that being between the Mueller report, and Barr's intention to investigate allegations of DS misbehavior to frame Trump and depose him.
All this mixing up of issues is a sign that things are moving fast. It is typical that people don't understand what is going on, but given enough time between newsworthy events (or give them different people), the lack of understanding doesn't manifest as mixing unrelated things.
Heh - don't mistake news reports or statements of politicians for a reflection of reality either. Go for the most basic source you can get your hands on. First hand account without breaks, court filings. Thorough assessments. I can count "reliable sources" on my fingers.
Read the indictment. It's not about the DNC emails, etc.

This is the core of the Assange indictment.
Bill Hemmer said something to the effect of "as early as today" about an hour ago. I joked a few hours ago, after Assange arrest made news, that today would be a good day to release the Mueller report.
Don't forget, Sekulow and Giuliani have 87 pages worth of rebuttal material, so the inevitable interpretation of facts by the press, so that "Trump obstructed," will be immediately met with reasoned rebuttal.
Okay, here it is AGAIN

I believe this is an accurate decode:
1st warrant was a UK warrant, used to remove Assange from the embassy
2nd warrant is a US warrant, used to extradite Assange from UK to US on charges unrelated to the "failure to show" in the UK warrant, and also unrelated to the DNC emails.
"Don't tase me, bro!"
