But maybe the US needed to be weakened abroad, the crap that has been done in the name of 'national interest' should make a sailor blush. The country has been rotting from within for decades, and a part of that is that the citizens can not feel confident that what is being done internationally is just and right. They can not feel confident because too many assholes in the military and federal government think the people 'cant handle the truth'.

It will take a long time for our government to recover from the abysmal performance it has put on in the last 50 years. And I don't say that because i hate the USA, I say it because I love the ideals and principles that provide the foundation of this country. No we do not live in the 1700's but the we still face the same issues of abuse of power that they did. God help us rebuild and create a more perfect union.
