sometimes it's worth going all in on the truth.

Out of these many hundreds of DS actors engaged in all matter of crime, some closer to justice than others, should we not see some abrupt turn of events with some of them just projectile truthing?

If say Jussie Smollett had just come completely clean, including deep insightful reasoning of motive and really starting the truth ball rolling fast downhill…. would that not have turned out better in the long run for him? Cheaper even?

No matter if he is perceived as not guilty from now on, he is still to be avoided because of the baggage attached. He would have saved some face by being honest. He could have been considered redeemable even (I mean we do believe in forgiveness).

How about Muir or Holt unexpectedly quitting? Tomorrow they start the news and live say they have been complicit and will not take it further. Walking off and publicly spitting truth and details and BOOM. They know trouble is coming, I would think there has to be a brave one in the bunch, maybe.

It takes SO much energy to fight against the tide trying to stand on a steaming pile of shite. Solid truthful ground should be preferred at whatever initial cost cause it will pay off in the end.

And it would make a great scene in any movie.
