No idea behind the technical reason. Can only tell you pics won't show in previous breads for some reason.
I heard the same, but if you hover mouse over notes, any pb's using jpeg the pic won't show. A wise anon told me CM could probably adjust something on that dohickey and make it work, kek.
So many that didn't bother reading the articles about it just jumped on that bandwagon. Sigh
I wish more would understand this.
