From 2004 to 2017, Imran Awan worked as a shared employee for Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Imran Awan has been charged with one count of bank fraud as part of a plea deal. However, it’s widely known he was involved in a serious cybersecurity breach of congressional electronic records. Both he and his wife and numerous “relatives” were also was on Debbie Wasserman Schultz's payroll.
Imram was DWS’s only IT guy for 10 years. He was paid $6 million for his services.
During the last several weeks of the 2016 election season, the House of Representatives experienced a breach in its security system. The House Office of Inspector General had discovered a hack in the House Democratic Caucus network that, coincidentally or not, resembled an earlier hack of the Democratic National Committee.
Much has been reported here about Awan. It's highly likely that Awan was stealing sensitive or classified congressional information, and possibly using some of that information for blackmail.
But what if Awan's role also included setting up and maintaining a secretive communication network for DS actors in Washington DC, as well as DS actors in foreign governments?
House electronic equipment was disappearing. Shelley Davis, former chief of staff for Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.), quietly agreed in early 2016 to cover the costs of 75 pieces of electronic equipment with a combined purchase price of nearly $120,000 reported as missing from more than 20 House offices.
This would be like Hillary's private email server x 50.
A server used by the House Democrats came up missing, just like Hillary's.
Platte River Networks set up and maintained Hillary's secret email server. Did Awan set up and run the secret network used for criminal communication between members of Congress and their handlers? Did the system provide secret access to Obama? The Supreme Court? Other DS actors worldwide?
