Steady progress.
My rudimentary knowledge of NK politics tells me that Kim is positioning himself to take on a largely ceremonial role after reunification.
President emeritus. Defender of the faithful. Whatever.
Something that gives him face and status but no real power over the unified country.
I would guess that it'll be something focused on NK reconstruction as he's the best bridge between SK and China and everyone would feel better having him as a buffer.
