Lawfag here. Get an attorney. The attorney will send an immediate letter about saving the video. You as a private citizen usually do not hold the clout as when an attorney sends a letter. Sometimes police are understaffed and by the time they can get to Goodwill, it will be destroyed. I have not read what happened in your incident, but always good to consult with an attorney.

>>6153889 Just read what happened in your son’s case. I, as an attorney, would not take the case because there is minimal damages. I am not trying to trivialize your son’s incident, but often times Goodwill hire mentally challenged employees. If it turns out this is the case in this instance, the store could reprimand him or if it has happened before, terminate the employee. Some of the mentally challenged do not understand boundaries or that their behavior was inappropriate. I do not know if this was the case or not.

The best thing was to notify the police and the manager in this case. Good luck in whatever route you decide to take.
