Julian Assange is being held responsible for breaking U.S. law at a time when he was neither in the U.S. nor a U.S. citizen. He has NEVER been subject to U.S. laws. Where the hell do we get jurisdiction over him?
How can we prosecute such a man when his "co-conspirator" who WAS a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, (and thus subject to U.S. laws) has already been pardoned.
If we can try Julian for breaking OUR laws, what is to keep other nations from trying US for violations of, oh, say, Sharia?
Trump needs to pull a damned big bunny out of his hat on this because there are serious questions of moral principle and individual human rights being trampled if he doesn't.
I am taking a "wait and see" stance on this, but I will be paying very close attention to its unfolding.
