Actually I prefer words like "skills" and "effort" rather than "talent". Talent implies a person is born with an ability and uses it automatically, as if by magic. The truth is that people work very hard to acquire and hone skills through the use of maximum effort. Using the word "talent" shortchanges yourself because it allows you to think that others can do things that you could never do, so you don't try.

The truth is that TRY is first step to acquire any skill, for everyone.

I just don't ever want to hear that word again.

End rant.
