MOON LANDING by Israel’s BERESHEET Spacecraft Ends in CRASH Dated April 13, 2019

AN UPDATE:

The spacecraft’s orbit of the moon was a first for a private effort, but the landing failure highlighted the risks of fast and cheap approaches to space exploration.

Experts, originally had been focusing on a possible malfunction of The Hebrew Calendar Date Converter. One theory being that the Sabbath Sundown Sensor, was fooled when the probe fell into the Earth's shadow.

This, they speculate may have fooled the craft into thinking it was encountering sunset on Friday, Nisan the 7th. This caused the craft to go into a pre-sabbath shutdown sequence just during lunar approach.

By the time engineers at the Jewish Propulsion Laboratories were able to get a rabbi to approve an emergency Non-Kosher override, it was too late.
