Soldiers didn't have to break his legs bc he was already dead
Others being crucified along side him weren't dead yet so the soldiers broke their legs to speed up the process. They wanted them to all to be dead before sunset when the Jewish sabbath starts.
The next day was Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath day so the women didn't come to his grave to see to his proper burial until Sunday morning. But when they got to his grave he wasn't there, he had already risen.
