Tony Tooke, head of U.S. Forest Service, stepping down amid sexual misconduct allegations

The chief of the U.S. Forest Service is stepping down amid allegations of sexual misconduct and an investigation commissioned by the United States Department of Agriculture into his own behavior.

 

Tony Tooke, who became chief in September after nearly four decades with the agency, wrote in an email to staff Wednesday that his retirement was effective immediately.

Timberwolves, Lynx CFO Stepping Down

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The chief financial officer for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx will resign next month after more than two decades with the organization. The teams announced Friday that Roger Griffith's last day will be April 15 and Vice President of Finance Pete Stene will be replacing him.

Atlanta Chief Operating Officer Dan Gordon is stepping down after three years in the post for a senior executive position in the private sector.

 

Gordon, who has served as the city's COO since 2015, will finish up on April 1.

 

As COO, Gordon played key roles in Atlanta's recent annexation of the Emory University campus and the long-term renewal of Delta Air Lines Inc.'s lease at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He also helped build Atlanta's cash reserves to more than $200 million and contributed to the city's highest credit rating in 40 years.

 

"I want to thank Dan for his dedication and leadership to the city of Atlanta," Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms said Friday. "He has worked tirelessly to improve the efficiency of our daily operations and played a significant role in closing complex transactions."
