A little story. Had a problem with car, left front brake seized up, pulled into a chain restaurant lot. Smoke coming out of the wheel housing. A young man came out, was a mechanic, said he would help.

This 22, or so, kid had an iron jaw, we figured it out, a service shop was less than a half mile down the road. Could make it that far. So, what does oldfag do? Thank him and ask: You a Soldier? Young man says: National Guard

A few minutes, spoke now in whispers, said he was deployed the next day to border, the E. W. Europe border. Great young man, strong as a man can be. Talked just a little about is mission then he told me what he, and all of his fellow guardsmen want for their mission:
