WATCH chaotic scenes as police battle protesters in Yellow Vest ‘capital’ Toulouse on ‘Act 22’
Footage shows riot police struggling to contain Yellow Vest protesters on the tear-gas-filled streets of Toulouse, France during clashes in which 43 people were arrested and more than a dozen were injured.
Sporadic clashes broke out in the French southern city of Toulouse of Saturday as it was declared the ‘capital’ of the Yellow Vest (Gilets Jaunes) protests that day. Footage filmed by video agency Ruptly shows people running in panic through thick clouds of smoke and tear gas filling the streets.
Protesters were coughing and covering their faces in an effort to avoid being gassed. Others kicked the gas canisters away, while some picked them up and hurled them back at officers. Volunteer medics could be seen rushing to treat a man lying on the pavement, who appeared to be unconscious.

Spain’s ‘Watergate’ erupts ahead of election
Podemos among targets of political spying, theft and smears as ‘state sewers’ stay active
The hacking of a security camera outside the home of a leading leftist politician is the latest episode to cast light on a deep-state apparatus in Spain, which has used espionage, theft and fake news to discredit perceived enemies of the conservative elite.
This week it emerged that the leader of the Podemos party, Pablo Iglesias, had complained to the police last autumn when he discovered that footage from a camera installed outside his house near Madrid was being streamed on a website available for free viewing. Iglesias shares the property with his partner, Podemos spokeswoman Irene Montero, and their two children.
Pablo Echenique, a senior figure in the party, linked the incident to a series of scandals apparently exposing the involvement of police officers and government officials in plots against politicians.

Democrats want Assange held accountable for hacking their emails
US Wrap: Wikileaks founder expelled from Ecuadorian embassy facing extradition to US
Senior Democrats have said that Julian Assange should be held accountable for WikiLeaks’ hacking of Democratic emails during the 2016 presidential election, amid expectations that the Australian national will be extradited to the United States.
Mr Assange was arrested by British police on Thursday after Ecuador withdrew its asylum protection for the WikiLeaks founder, who had been living in the country’s embassy in London for almost seven years.
The 47-year-old was immediately found guilty at Westminster magistrates’ court of jumping bail on a 2010 extradition order to Sweden. The US also issued an extradition request and an indictment, accusing Mr Assange of conspiring with former US army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning – then known as Bradley Manning – to leak classified information in 2010.

As Q said how do you legally introduce evidence into a court of law
Now they're planning the crime of the century
Well what will it be?
Read all about their schemes and adventuring
Yes, It's well worth the fee
So roll up and see
How they've raped the universe
How they've gone from bad to worse
Who are these men of lust, greed and glory?
Rip off the mask and let's see.

Crosses covered with cloth in Italian cemetery to avoid offending Muslims
The crosses on graves in an Italian cemetery in Bologna have been covered with black cloth in order not to offend those who may come from another religion.
The cemetery has also installed motorised blackout curtains in a local chapel to hide Roman Catholic symbols during ceremonies involving other denominations, Il Giornale reports.
Many have expressed criticism including Forza Italia deputy Galeazzo Bignami who denounced the move saying those looking not to offend were disrespecting Christian values and he added, “even more so the memory of our dead, hiding them behind ‘motorised tents’ in a cemetery to avoid offending other religions”.
“If the administrators are ashamed of our tradition and our culture, they should go and hide themselves and not just behind a motorised tent. If they are not able to bring respect for the living at least they have the decency to leave the dead alone and not involve them in foolishness”, he added.
Conservative-populist Brothers of Italy leader Giorgia Meloni also commented on the case saying, “Using the excuse of respect for others, they lack respect for our Catholic culture and our traditions. Now the Left is beyond fanaticism. This is ideological delirium”.
The incident is also unlikely to have been well met by populist Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s League party which proposed in 2018 to require a crucifix be hung in all public buildings including train stations, airports, universities, and embassies.

Photos Surface Revealing 2017 'Closed-Door' Meeting Between Rep. Ilhan Omar and Turkish President Erdogan
Conservative Review reporter Jordan Schachtel recently came upon an interesting tidbit in the Tusmo Times, a publication that covers the Somali community in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, area. He found a story there by the Somali-language paper’s founder and editor, Abdirahman Mukhtar, about a “closed-door meeting” that took place in New York City in September 2017 between visiting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a then-relatively unknown Minnesota state representative named Ilhan Omar.
Omar, a Muslim immigrant from Somalia who won election to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2018, reportedly led a delegation of Somalis from Minnesota to meet with Erdogan in New York. Erdogan was in town for the annual UN General Assembly meeting and Omar flew in to meet him at a local hotel in downtown New York City.
What is most interesting about this meeting, however, aside from the fact that the President of Turkey agreed to meet with a local Minnesota state legislator, is that it took place in the very same hotel room where Erdogan, either just before or just after his meeting with Omar, met with the assembled top leadership of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.
This is obvious from the room’s carpeting and table and chairs arrangement: here is Erdogan posing with Ilhan Omar.
In this second photo with Erdogan are Nihad Awad, the executive director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR); Osama Abu Irshaid, the national director of American Muslims for Palestine (AMP); Mazen Mokhtar, the national executive director of the Muslim American Society (MAS); and Oussama Jammal, the secretary general of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), the umbrella political organization of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. Whether Omar herself met with these leading Brotherhood figures in that room is not known, but it seems unlikely that she would not have.
