Well, to be fair, whoever decided to create the state of Israel and place religious and ethnic Jews there is a rather scheming sort. Few things have been so beneficial to a state of perpetual war as placing Jews in an ocean of Arab Muslims.
Those who descend from the Golden Calf have always been the type to try and use the Jewish body as leverage to get what they want, and just might have been behind the formation of the Islamic religion, as well. The original Arab prophet came from Petra. This was later altered and changed to Mecca around 750-800AD, if my memory of the subject serves correctly. There was a wave of consolidation of the expanding Ottoman Empire under Abd-Al-Malik which saw the beginnings of the Koran codified and standardized. The story of the Koran being standardized and formulated under Uthman are demonstrably false. No Uthmanic Korans exist, and the oldest available examples heralded as Uthmanic or derived from Uthman Korans contain a massive number of differences between them and later Koran versions (not to mention, old Arabic lacked annotations for inflection, which alter the meaning of words).
