Yes, just finish the new thread you started, once you realise.
Worst case you can make a new one however then anons won’t know which is the correct thread, which causes a bigger issue.
And yes, if you get ‘flood detected’, you can change a character in each section.
I did it a couple of times and had been baking a while, too.
