Agree with Cates on paper. Assange has never expressed pro-POTUS sentiment. I'm sure his politics overall are probably unchanged over time.

But…Hillary's desire to drone him out of existence, combined with Assange's seeming certitude regarding who sealed Seth Rich's fate, puts him in the pro-POTUS camp by default, if only for this particular cause.

Plus, his virulent far-left creds will play with the FeelTheBern crowd who also despise the current DNC.

To me, this is part of The Movie, even if some of the actors play their parts unawares…

Well-aware of all of that. If what comes out of this is the inability to protect sources, I will share that sentiment. But you've seen enough of this screenplay to know that is not what's gonna happen. POTUS protects his sources just as Julian protects his own.

I'm not blind, just confident in a positive end-result.
