The Democratic Machine Canabilizing Their Own. Their strategy for narrowing the pack!

Left-leaning Outlet In CO Says Hickenlooper ‘Making Stuff Up’ On Death Penalty. Death penalty discussion 'never happened under Hick's watch'—'not even close'

A left-of-center news outlet in Colorado says presidential candidate and former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper is exaggerating his track record on the death penalty while on the campaign trail.

The death penalty has been a significant policy issue for Colorado over the last decade as Democrats have sought to repeal the punishment in the state.

The left-leaning Colorado Independent said the former two-term governor "started flat-out making stuff up when he went on to suggest that, as governor, he encouraged a broad dialogue about capital punishment, its effectiveness and whether it's being meted out fairly

Moderate Dems Distancing Themselves From the Crazies

Former Dem. Sen. Kerrey: Democrats Are ‘Delusional’ Over Russia Investigation

Former senator Bob Kerrey (D., Neb.) said that Democrats are suffering from a "delusion" and that President Donald Trump would be right to pardon anyone indicted in the two-year-long investigation conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"If there is a man or woman who was convicted and sentenced for not telling the truth about a collusion that never happened, I'd like them to be pardoned," Kerrey told The Washington Times in an interview.

Kerrey called out in particular Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Mass.), a frequent and vocal supporter of continuing and expanding the investigation into the possibility of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

"Personally, I would love to hear Schiff say, ‘Enough. There are other committees that can look at this, and we need to get back to the committee's mission of making sure the Department of Defense is spending its money correctly,'" Kerry said. "He could gain a lot of credibility with the American people if we go back to the time when that committee was nonpartisan.

Sanders On Using Defense Budget for Exchange Programs: ‘Bring Farmers From Turkey to Farmers in Iowa’

'A lot of attitudes about foreign policy are based on lack of knowledge'

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said in a recent interview that Congress should allocate part of the U.S. military budget to foreign exchange programs, suggesting that bringing farmers from Turkey to farmers in Iowa could be an effective form of American foreign policy.

Over the weekend, the New Yorker published a lengthy article, titled "Bernie Sanders Imagines a Progressive New Approach to Foreign Policy," which discusses the senator's views on America's role in the world. The author, Benjamin Wallace-Wells, interviewed Sanders earlier this month for the piece.

"In Sanders's account of global affairs," Wallace-Wells wrote, "Americans have been as likely to be villains as heroes. Six trillion dollars had now been spent on the war on terror since 2001."

"It's an unbelievable amount of money," Sanders told the author. "Is this going to go on forever? Do we really need to spend more than the next ten nations combined on the military, when our infrastructure is collapsing and kids can't afford to go to college?"

Bernie Sanders Attacks ThinkProgress, a Liberal Blog Launched by His Campaign Manager. Sanders says Center for American Progress has been 'counterproductive' force in 2020 primary, questions its funding

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said on Saturday the Center for American Progress and its affiliated blog ThinkProgress were a "counterproductive" force in the effort to beat President Donald Trump, an attack against a liberal think tank his top campaign officials were previously affiliated with.

Sanders' "deep concern and disappointment" in the group was expressed in a Saturday letter to Center for American Progress board members in which he complained about what he called "personal attacks" and efforts to "smear" him and other 2020 candidates.
