There is a great stone courtyard around it, where the French people meet every day to support their poor and their street entertainers. It is a civic center of lively people unlike the Eiffel tower, which is gated and highly controlled.

What a beautiful name for them. The building was something to behold. I hope they re-do the architecture exactly as it was. And the stained glass too. Some things are gifts to humanity, like the Great Library, etc.
