what's the status of the windows?

I've heard they've been destroyed.

I've heard they weren't destroyed.

I'd like to know how glass windows in the midst of concrete walls all gets destroyed.

• There is nothing close to the windows to burn.

• The likelihood of damage isn't great even if there was flammable material nearby (glass is formed at high temperatures anyway).

• there was plenty of ventilation for all that heat (as seen by the smoke).

• the glass was clearly sturdy, having lasted 8 centuries through daily and yearly temperature fluctuations.

Was the glass removed (saved) as the other relics were (supposedly)?
