WATCH: Bernie Sanders Explodes When Asked About His Taxes, Hypocrisy Called Out

Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders exploded on Monday when asked during a Fox News town hall about accepting tax breaks that he voted against and why he did not send the money back given the fact that he constantly is claiming that the wealthy need to pay more in taxes.

Fox News host Bret Baier first pressed Sanders on the issue, to which Sanders responded: "Pfft…come on…I am, I paid the taxes that I owe…why don’t you get Donald Trump up here and ask him how much he pays in taxes."

A few moments later, Fox News host Martha MacCallum pressed Sanders again on the issue, asking: "So would you be willing to pay 52% on the money that you made? You can volunteer, you can send it back."

"You can volunteer too," Sanders responded. "Martha, why don’t you give? You make more money than I do."

"I didn’t suggest a wealth tax," MacCallum replied.

"And she’s not running for president," Baier added.

House Democrat to Top Bankers: "You Appear to Be White Men" (Video)

This is all that matters to the Democrat Party.

Race.

Liberal Democrat and Trump-hater Al Green asked top bankers to identify their race at a committee hearing last Wednesday.

It’s all about identity politics.

That’s all that matters.

CNS News reported:

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) asked seven of the nation’s leading bankers on Wednesday to confirm their race.

“As I look at the panel, and I’m grateful for your attendance, the–the eye would perceive that the seven of you have something in common. You appear to be white men. I may be mistaken,” Green said at a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee.

“If one among you happens to be something other than a white male, would you kindly extend a hand into the air? Kindly let the record reflect that there are no hands in the air and that the panel is made up of white men,”

President Trump Reverses Obama’s Anti-Christian Refugee Policy

After declaring that Christians have “been horribly treated” by the refugee program under former President Barack Obama, President Donald Trump has reversed the Obama administration’s disgraceful discrimination against Christian refugees.

According to a Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. State Department refugee data, during the period from January 21, 2017 – President Trump’s first full day in office – through June 30, “9,598 Christian refugees arrived in the U.S., compared with 7,250 Muslim refugees. Christians made up 50% of all refugee arrivals in this period, compared with 38% who are Muslim.”

From April through June 2017, Iraq was “the only Muslim-majority nation among the top six origin countries.” The number of Syrian refugees admitted to the U.S. from January 21, 2017 through June 30, 2017 was 1779. Comparing the number of refugee admissions from Syria for the entire month of January with the entire month of February 2017, the number dropped by nearly half. By June 2017, the number of refugees admitted from Syria was about 26 percent of the already low number of 673 admitted in February.

By contrast, Pew Research Center reported that in fiscal year 2016 – Barack Obama’s last full fiscal year as president – “the U.S. admitted the highest number of Muslim refugees of any year since data on self-reported religious affiliations first became publicly available in 2002.” Overall, the number of Muslims admitted as refugees exceeded the number of Christians who were admitted.

Find Out More >

11,213

Of the 12,486 refugees from Syria admitted to the United States during that same fiscal year by the Obama administration, about 99 percent were Muslim and less than 1 percent were Christian. Estimates of the Christians’ proportion of the total population of Syria have ranged from 5 to 10 percent since the onset of the Syrian civil war. Muslims made up 87% of Syria’s total population.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry declared in March of last year that the Islamic State had been committing genocide against Christians, Yazidis and other minorities in the Middle East. Nevertheless, the Obama administration decided that Christians and other refugees belonging to minority religious faiths did not deserve any priority for admission to the U.S. In fact, the Obama administration discriminated against Christians. It admitted proportionately less Christians relative to the total number of refugees from Syria than even the lower end of Christians’ estimated proportion of the total population of Syria. Incredibly, since the beginning of the Syrian conflict, approximately 96% of the Syrian refugees admitted to the United States by the Obama administration were Sunni Muslims even though ISIS and al Qaeda jihadists are themselves Sunni Muslims. The ideology of Wahhabism fueling the jihadists’ reign of terror, exported by Saudi Arabia, is of Sunni Muslim origin.

Obama followed a deliberate anti-Christian refugee policy, while condescendingly lecturing Christians to remember the misdeeds he says were committed in the name of Christ many years ago. During a National Prayer Breakfast in 2015, for example, Obama said: “And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Obama’s walk through his version of Christian history somehow balances out in his mind the genocide committed by jihadists against Christians on his own watch.

Obama not only insulted Christians who have been facing persecution and death on a mass scale at the hands of Islamist terrorists. He twisted history in trying to invoke his moral relativism. He conveniently left out that the Crusades were a response to Muslim invasions that had resulted in the capture of two-thirds of the old Christian world and that Christian churches took a leadership role in the fights against slavery and segregation.

Thus, it was no surprise that Obama sharply criticized the suggestion that persecuted Christians be given preference for admission as refugees. He said that “when I hear political leaders suggesting that there would be a religious test for which person who’s fleeing from a war-torn country is admitted… that’s shameful.” Obama added: “That’s not American, it’s not who we are.”

Germany's AfD claims Notre-Dame fire linked to anti-Christian attack

A leader of Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party on Tuesday tried to link the devastating fire at Paris's Notre-Dame cathedral to rising "intolerance" against Christians in Europe, although French investigators believe the inferno was an accident.

In a tweet, Alice Weidel, the parliamentary group leader of the Alternative for Germany, the country's largest opposition party, implied a connection between the blaze which broke out on Monday evening and previous anti-Christian "attacks" in France.

"During Holy Week #NotreDame burns. March: second largest church Saint-Sulpice burns. February: 47 attacks in France," Weidel wrote.

"The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe speaks of a significant increase," she added, including a link to a March article in a German Catholic magazine headlined "Catholic churches desecrated across France".

The Notre-Dame blaze, which brought the iconic building's towering spire and roof crashing down, is being treated by French investigators as an "involuntary fire" and they have advanced no other theory.

The cathedral had been undergoing intensive restoration work which firefighters said could be linked to the inferno.

The brief fire on March 17th at Saint-Sulpice, a Roman Catholic church in Paris, left no one hurt and little damage. Investigators have opened an inquiry into the blaze.

The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe cited by Weidel is a non-governmental organisation based in Austria.

It could not immediately be reached by AFP but did not raise any suspicion of an anti-Christian act behind the Notre-Dame blaze on any of its online platforms.

The AfD, which holds more than 90 seats in the Bundestag lower house of parliament, rails against Islam and Muslim immigrants as a threat to Christian culture in Germany and Europe.

And then there is stuff like this - 3 days before the fire..

Alumna, mom of current student pleads with Notre Dame to ‘take a stand’ on porn

'SOUTH BEND, Indiana, April 12, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — An alumna and mother of a student of Notre Dame is asking university president Rev. John Jenkins in a letter to grant a student petition for a campus-wide pornography filter for the university’s WiFi internet service.

Molly Kraker is a graduate of the Catholic university in South Bend, Indiana, who also identifies herself as the mother of a current student and wife of an alumnus. She refers to a petition circulated by Notre Dame student James Martinson, who wants the university to install a filter making 200 pornography sites inaccessible on Notre Dame Wi-Fi networks.

“In our over-sexualized culture, men and women are bombarded with pornographic material. A significant number of male and female students are imploring you to take a stand and install a filter to block online pornography on Our Lady’s campus. These brave students are asking you to guide them in their quest to lead chaste lives,” Kraker states in her letter. (Read the full letter below, courtesy of the Sycamore Trust.)

“We are called to live out our faith radically in a world awash in sin and selfishness and you are uniquely placed to help show young Catholic students how to do exactly that. To be truly obedient to our beautiful faith and embrace it fully, counter-culturally, boldly … though the odds be great or small,” she writes.

Besides the student petition, Enough is Enough — a nonprofit dedicated to making the internet safe for children — is circulating on CitizenGo the “Notre Dame: NO Free Porn on Campus WiFi!” petition, which has more than 12,500 signatures.

According to Kraker’s letter, Vice President of Communications Paul Browne responded to the students’ call for a pornography filter: “God’s given us the choice of whether to be sinners or not.” As for Rev. Jenkins, he wrote to Enough is Enough: “Although we do not believe a mandatory filter is the best solution for us, we are taking steps to encourage students and others to adopt filters voluntarily. Thank you for your thoughts on this matter.”

Recently, the student government at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. similarly asked for a pornography filter on the campus-wide Wi-Fi. In addition, LifeSiteNews has launched an online petition to administrators at the Catholic University of America to ban internet porn.

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties. It offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses all who are involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. It is a grave offense. Civil authorities should prevent the production and distribution of pornographic materials.”

Notre Dame College president to step down in June

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame College President Thomas Kruczek will step down in June to return to Florida, according to a university press release.

Kruczek became president of the Catholic liberal arts college in 2014. He and his wife intend to move back to spend more time with her elderly mother. Before Notre Dame College, Kruczek served as Dean of the College of Business and Management for Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Notre Dame is now one of four Northeast Ohio colleges looking for a new leader. Kent State University, the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University all are in the midst of presidential searches.

During Kruczek’s tenure, Notre Dame College received its largest gift in its history. The $1.5 million grant in 2017 is designed to support STEM programming. Kruczek also spearheaded the creation of an office to evaluate academic programs, an entrepreneurship co-major and a 25,000 square foot student center.

About 1,460 students attend Notre Dame College as of fall 2018.

Kruczek’s last day will be June 30.

Notre Dame College President to Step Down on June 30, 2019

Notre Dame College President Thomas G. Kruczek has announced that he will step down as the College’s top administrator on June 30, 2019.

He cited personal family reasons for his decision. Kruczek informed the College’s Board of Trustees of his intention to resign in order to return to Florida with his wife to spend time with her elderly mother.

Kruczek became the College’s 14th president in its 97 year history in July of 2014. He came to Notre Dame after serving as Dean of the College of Business and Management at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., where he had been since 2011. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in 1979.

His passion for the liberal arts and his abiding belief in the relevance and value in providing an outstanding liberal arts education for students were evident in everything he did. He encouraged every student and every faculty member to look at life through an entrepreneur’s eyes and believes strongly that our country’s future rests on individuals with strong critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a broad knowledge base that trains them to see the "big picture."

Since Kruczek’s arrival at the South Euclid campus five years ago, he has directed significant change, including:

Completion and execution of a strategic plan to provide focused priorities for the College through 2022;

Receipt of the largest gift to support STEM education in the history of the College;

Creation of the Falcons’ Nest student center, a place for students to relax, study, enjoy entertainment and get together;

Establishment of the Enterprise Development Center, a dedicated on-campus space created to support the growth of the overall entrepreneurship program at Notre Dame and secure paid on-campus internship experiences for students in all majors;

Launch of the Caring Hearts fund to help students faced with unexpected dire financial emergencies that might otherwise force them to abandon their college plans;

Establishment of the FirstGen Center, an innovative mentoring initiative designed to provide support to undergraduates who are the first in their families to attend college;

Creation of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to lead the assessment and evaluation of academic and nonacademic programs and how they further the College’s strategic plan and budget priorities;

Completion of the successful reaccreditation of the College by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC);

Establishment of the Genesis Fund.

As the president of the College, Kruczek has ensured that Notre Dame adheres to the values of its founders, the Sisters of Notre Dame, and to the College's mission of serving the underserved, particularly students with learning differences and those in need of financial aid.

The College’s Board of Trustees has initiated the process to name the College’s next president.

Notre Dame President Won’t Ban Campus Porn

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (ChurchMilitant.com) - The president of Notre Dame has pushed back against calls to block access to pornography on the campus wifi.

In October last year, a group of around 80 male Notre Dame students called for a campus-wide porn filter in a letter to the editor in student-run newspaper The Observer. The open letter noted that an online petition supporting the cause already had about 1,000 signatures from students, faculty and staff.

Enough Is Enough (EIE), a group promoting internet safety for children and families, sent a letter to Notre Dame in early February backing the call for a porn filter on campus wifi. EIE also sent administrators an online petition that had garnered about 10,000 signatures. At time of publication, the signature count had reached 12,500.

About a month later, Notre Dame's president, Fr. John Jenkins, sent a brief reply letter to EIE. Jenkins said in the three-sentence response, "Thank you for the letter of February 4. Although we do not believe a mandatory filter is the best solution for us, we are taking steps to encourage students and others to adopt filters voluntarily."

After receiving Fr. Jenkins' response, EIE updated the petition on April 2. The update states in part, "The 'voluntarily opt-in' suggestion does nothing to resolve the issues at hand nor the original request to filter university WiFi from pornography and child pornography."

It also says, "Notre Dame students calling for the WiFi filter won't settle for an 'opt-in' solution, and neither will Enough Is Enough!"

Donna Rice Hughes, president and CEO of EIE, commented on Fr. Jenkins' response:

It is disappointing that the University of Notre Dame is ignoring the persistent pleas of their students to filter the university's public WiFi from pornography and child sex abuse images, which is consistent with the call of Pope Francis to protect children from "extreme pornography … online trafficking … and live viewing acts of rape and violence against minors."

"By providing safe WiFi," Hughes continued, "the University can provide students a wholesome online and offline environment, stand up for the dignity of all people and honor the Pope's Declaration of Rome."

This is a reference to the 2017 joint statement from a conference in Rome focused on internet safety for children. It called for governments, tech companies and others to take measures against child sexual abuse, cyberbullying and other things that are gravely harmful to children.

=12 (YES) Twelve French Churches Attacked, Vandalized in One Week==

A dozen Catholic churches have been desecrated across France over the period of one week in an egregious case of anti-Christian vandalism.

The recent spate of church profanations has puzzled both police and ecclesiastical leaders, who have mostly remained silent as the violations have spread up and down France.

Last Sunday, marauders set fire to the church of Saint-Sulpice — one of Paris’ largest and most important churches — shortly after the twelve-o’clock Mass.

Police have concluded that the fire was the result of arson and are now looking for possible suspects. The restoration of the church from the damage caused by the fire will reportedly cost several hundred million euros.

In Nimes (department of the Gard), near the border with Spain, the church of Notre-Dame des Enfants was desecrated in a particularly odious way, with vandals painting a cross with human excrement, looting the main altar and the tabernacle, and stealing the consecrated hosts, which were discovered later among piles of garbage.

Likewise, the church of Notre-Dame in Dijon, in the east of the country, suffered the sacking of the high altar and the hosts were also taken from the tabernacle, scattered on the ground, and trampled.

In Lavaur, in the southern department of the Tarn, the village church was assaulted by young men, who twisted one arm of a representation of the crucified Christ to make it appear that he was making an obscene gesture.

In the peripheries of Paris, in the department of Yvelines, several churches have suffered profanations of varying importance, in Maisons-Laffitte and in Houilles.

Although commentators have been reluctant to attach a particular religious or cultural origin to the profanations, they all share an evident anti-Christian character.

In recent months, anti-Semitic gangs have desecrated Jewish cemeteries, signing their actions with swastikas. In the case of the desecration of Catholic churches, the vandalism has spoken for itself: ridicule of the figure of Christ on the cross and desecration of major altars.

The Catholic hierarchy has kept silent about the episodes, limited themselves to highlighting that anti-Christian threat and expressing hope that politicians and police will get to the bottom of the crimes.

Reports indicate that 80 percent of the desecration of places of worship in France concerns Christian churches and in the year 2018 this meant the profanation of an average of two Christian churches per day in France, even though these actions rarely make the headlines.

In 2018, the Ministry of the Interior recorded 541 anti-Semitic acts, 100 anti-Muslim acts, and 1063 anti-Christian acts.
