I think the algorithm picked up certain keywords and phrases used to describe 9/11.
Islamic terrorism and such. Those keywords/phrases were probably cross referenced with accounts that google associates with conservatives/truthers/etc.
It probably reach a threshold that applied the label.
That or some soy boy is sitting there with his finger on the trigger.
