Wow. Just discovered that GIFs–like JPEGs–don't come across the Great Bread Barrier. We don't use GIFs much, so never noticed it. Interdasting. Wonder what it is about these formats that causes problems. GIFs are older; were JPEG's the first of their kind, too?

Ok, just looked it up. JPEG is oldest photo format, but Windows requires 3-letter file extensions, so it was shortened to JPG. Wonder whether that has anything to do with the JPEG problem on the Board. Doesn't tell us why GIFs don't come across, though.

Yes! Trying to evaluate correlations based on very little evidence is a thankless task for both anons and bakers. And it takes away from genuine correlations based upon more abundant evidence.
