The whole point of a SC is to give the public the impression that whatever follows is free of bias.
The situation now is that a minority of the public believes the DOJ, or any part of it, isn't tainted. Overall public sentiment will be formed the same way that judges make decisions. First pick the outcome, then cherry pick data points to reach that outcome.
