So glad someone else knows that truth about death.
I've always thought about the gathering together of the Saints in Christ that died before the return of Jesus Christ. Why would they need to be resurrected from the dead if they were already in Heaven.
That clinched it for me. But there are numerous verses talking about death and what really happens. For Christians it is called "sleep", because at some point, when Christ returns, you will be resurrected - wake up.
