From what I can tell, she worked for Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP (lawyers) since at least 2001, which is when she made partner. Then, in 2002, she told her employer she might want to pursue public office and was transferred to their Albany location. In 2003/4 she started numerous donations to DNC candidates and organizations.
Then, in 2005, she leaves #boiesschillerandflexner to pursue a 2006 campaign.
It was during this Congressional campaign that #boiesschillerandflexner donated at least $123,710 to #gillibrand, a former partner and employee of the firm. She would serve from January 3, 2007 – January 26, 2009.
Fast forward to 2018 - new seat, same players - $150,360 to #gillibrand from #boiesschillerandflexner (her second highest donor for the election cycle). She won her Senate race and has been serving since 2009, surviving her re-election campaign last year.
If you direct your attention to the bottom of the graphic, you'll notice that not only did #kirstengillibrand engage the law firm of Perkins Coie (see last link for connection to Spygate) for her 2018 campaign, she spent $65,665 on their services. What's more, #perkinscoie donated $555 to Gillibrand the same year. Earlier dig with #perkinscoie financials is also attached - strange, but predictable, bedfellows.
