They have no choice but to move for impeachment IMO, they've banged on about it for two years. They'll use the failure (they don't have the numbers in the senate) as a platform for ousting the "corrupt Republicans" from congress.

Except that it's an all or nothing scenario. They can't campaign for politically bad policies such as open borders, post birth abortion, or higher taxes so they'll be relying on this to get them back in the hot seat. If they try throwing in obstruction here or there as a part of their messaging it will be too dilute to have any effect.

Meanwhile Trump can campaign on policies that have proven to be working and new policies which will have the credibility of a successful first term behind them. That's all without DECLAS, the IG report, or the (pic related).

No, I think they're backed in to a corner with this. Dark times ahead, but ultimately part of the plan methinks.
