U.S. Intelligence Institutionally Politicized Toward Democrats

The CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies have become bastions of political liberals and the pro-Democratic Party views of intelligence personnel have increased under President Donald Trump, according to a journal article by a former CIA analyst.

John Gentry, who spent 12 years as a CIA analyst, criticized former senior intelligence leaders, including CIA Director John Brenan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former deputy CIA director Michael Morell, along with former analyst Paul Pillar, for breaking decades-long prohibitions of publicly airing their liberal political views in attacking Trump.

The institutional bias outlined in a lengthy article in the quarterly International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence risks undermining the role of intelligence in support of government leaders charged with making policy decisions.

Gentry stopped short of saying the widespread liberal bias of intelligence officials has influenced intelligence reports and products. However, he concludes that "bias may have crept into CIA analyses."

"A considerable body of evidence, much of it fragmentary, indicates that many CIA people have left-leaning political preferences, but less evidence shows that political bias influences CIA analyses," Gentry concludes.

In the past, intelligence politicization was defined as either skewing intelligence to fit biases or manipulating intelligence by those outside the intelligence community.

"But in 2016 observers of U.S. intelligence began to wonder if the CIA's once-firm prohibition on partisan politics had changed, and to ponder whether a new kind of politicization had arisen: namely, institutionally embedded, partisan bias," Gentry wrote.

Gentry points to the activities of senior retired intelligence officials during the 2016 campaign that "universally" criticized then-candidate Trump and supported Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

"The attacks on Trump were unprecedented for intelligence officers in their substance, tone, and volume," he stated. "Critics went far beyond trying to correct Trump's misstatements about U.S. intelligence; they attacked him as a human being."

Rep. Rashida Tlaib Says She Feels More Palestinian in Congress Than Anywhere Else

Newly appointed Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib from Michigan, recently proclaimed that she feels more Palestinian in Congress than anywhere else in the world, according to a YouTube video.

Tlaib was speaking at the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights when she said, “Honestly I’ve never felt more Palestinian than I ever felt in Congress.”

Tlaib said that when she visits her grandmother in Palestine she’s recognized more like an American person but when she is in Congress, she’s identified as a Palestinian.

“Even in Palestine when I’m visiting my grandmother, I’m more Amrikiin [American], to the Palestinians. But I’m more Palestinian in the halls of Congress than I am anywhere in the country, in the world. And that just tells you just the fact that they weren’t ready for us. They really weren’t,” she said.

Most of Tlaib’s tenure in Congress has been about her advocacy for Palestinian concerns and her regular and failed attempts to construct a coalition to impeach President Donald Trump, according to the Conservative Review.

On her first day in office, the Detroit born congresswoman wiped off Israel from her office map. She also supported the Boycott, Disinvestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement that works to end international support for Israel against Palestine.

Several people who Tlaib openly thanked for her successful congressional campaign have posted explicit pro-terror and anti-Semitic content on social media, including calls for violence, such as “kill every Zionist,” according to a report by the Israel Advocacy Movement (IAM).

The report reviewed the social media posts of several people Tlaib personally thanked in a March 31, 2018, Facebook post.

“My family and friends did it in Chicago! In less than a week of planning, they really showed their strength and helped our campaign,” Tlaib wrote. “A special thank you to Ahlam Jbara, Mwafaq Jbara, Maher Abdel-qader, and my amazing Amo Abu Faris, Mufid Issa, who called people in Chicago while he was out of the country.”

Of the five people Tlaib thanked in her post, four have social media profiles and each one has made posts supporting known terrorists.

ANN COULTER COULD VOTE FOR SANDERS AND IGNORE ‘THE REST OF THE SOCIALIST STUFF’

Conservative author and pundit Ann Coulter says she could support Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders in his quest to become the 46th President of the United States.

Coulter is mulling both voting for the Democratic socialist and even working for him if he supports tougher immigration policies.

In a sneak preview of an upcoming episode of the conservative PBS talk show “Firing Line with Margaret Hoover,” Coulter said that she’s prepared to ignore “the rest of the socialist stuff” if Sanders goes back to his “pro-blue-collar position” on immigration.

Coulter said she could support the socialist candidate “if he went back to his original position, which is the pro-blue-collar position. I mean, it totally makes sense with him. If he went back to that position, I’d vote for him. I might work for him. I don’t care about the rest of the socialist stuff. Just — can we do something for ordinary Americans?”

As Fox News notes, Coulter was probably citing Sanders’ opposition to an immigration reform bill in 2007 that he said would flood the American market with low-income jobs.

Sanders told a town hall meeting in Oskaloosa, Iowa, this month that he is opposed to open borders because there are too many impoverished people who would take advantage of it and “we can’t do it.”

“What we need is comprehensive immigration reform. If you open the borders, my God, there’s a lot of poverty in this world, and you’re going to have people from all over the world. And I don’t think that’s something that we can do at this point. Can’t do it. So that is not my position,” Sanders said.

Coulter was a vocal acolyte of President Donald Trump early in his presidency and during his campaign for the presidency but she has broken ranks with Republicans and become a vociferous opponent of the president over his as yet unfulfilled promise to build a border wall. Coulter has even suggested that she regrets not voting for failed 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton because she “might have got a wall.”
