"Taint team" is a generic and common term in criminal law circles. When the investigator seizes material that is privileged, it is not supposed to reach the prosecutor.
If person A reports that he heard Trump say "I'm fucked," Person A's report is not hearsay. Not to say it's true, just it is not hearsay.
If Person B reports that Person A heard Trump say "I'm fucked," Person B's report is hearsay as to what Trump said, but is not hearsay as to what Person A said.
