characterize Potus DJT as disavowing business deals with Russian, when Cohen was said to have been working on a deal for Trump.
However, there was never any deal.
So Writer of the report insinuates Potus DJT was lying[?] when he repeatedly denied business relations with Russia.
In fact, The numerous disavowals would be what one would expect of a person falsely accused.
POTUS DJT was correct in stating that Cohen had no reason to mention the potential deal, because it was never fulfilled, completed, or "closed."
Since the Report writer was trying to set-up POTUS they make it a point of note that Cohen was questioned as to why he would mention an alleged deal that never came to fruition.
And they were going to try to push that to "obstruction."
It's sort of like a fractal intration of the overall scam.
No underlying crime, but POTUS DJT was trying to stop them from catching him in a crime which had not been committed [yet?]
cf. "Minority Report" the movie with Tom Cruise.
They profile a person using strong AI [which doesn't exist in reality, BTW, ] and firgure out, through a computational machine [statistics; garbage in / garbage out] that the person WILL commit a crime in the future; So thereby "rescue" the future from the incipient crime, by arresting the person in advance.
Perfect for Hillary Clinton.
