Sparky anon here…..

Electical fault?

Short circuit?

Nope and nope…..

Electroical system was upgraded and was the protection of the circuits. Wires short circuit, ground out, circuit breaker would trip within a few cycles (Europe 50Hz or 50 cycles/sec)

Only wat to gererate that much heat and start a fire of that intensity is if you have a short in the mains feeding the building or in the high voltage distribution cabinets if the downstream protection fails and an arc fault condition is created.

Thermite, however, burns extremely hot, and cannot be put out by any fire suppression means… Just saying…. Or some other type of self-oxidizing flammable material…..
