God creates man in His own image, and man lives in a perfect world in daily presence of the loving God. However, God gave man free will to love God back or turn away, because love isn't love unless it is freely given. Satan misleads man to turn away. Man then becomes imperfect and unable to exist in God's presence.
God becomes man for a brief moment, and dies as a sacrifice to break the bonds of the death. He rises again after 3 days, fully man, but now glorified. Just to provide His creation a way to be glorified too, and live with Him in perfection for all eternity.
If that ain't love, I don't know what love could possibly be.
