Was Erika Thompson actually the source of the PapaD intelligence, and Downer was the cover?
The Downer meeting wasn't until May 10th, but the Mueller reports the information from PapaD came on May 6th.
That would indicated Erika (also an IC asset) was the source, not Downer in the pub.
It would explain why Downer denies it.
OR, this is a lie by Mueller to get Downer off the hook.
Maybe they didn't want to blow her cover, so attributed the story to Downer instead.
Plus, his report would carry more weight.
Or maybe they hoped PapaD would say something to Downer on tape, but he didn't, so they had to make it up.
Fuckery.
Downer has always been a cover story. They were already watching PapaD.
There must be some record in the case history after May 6th.
They are trying to gloss over the fact Downer had nothing to do with this starting.
