It was the best of times and the worst of times. It depended on where you were and who and what you were.My best friend was black and he was called a nigger and I was the nigger-lover. It doesn't bother me because I learned how to kick ass when I get cornered by bullies. My old man was in WWII and taught us how to shoot and took us hiking up in the mountains and how to hunt and survive in the wilderness. Same amount of bigotry today, but now it's more political than racial and religious. A big difference is number of kids without fathers in their lives and lack of training in good manners and mutual respect for others It's been replaced with an intolerant PC culture. That's why society is more chaotic today. You missed out on some things but have stuff we didn't have back then so don't feel bad about it. Every generation has to deal with BS but has it better in some ways too. The political corruption and depravity seems worse these days but maybe it was just hidden better. One thing we both should be happy for is to be alive to see the Great Awakening and the Restoration of the Republic. Shadilay fren!
