I figure he's gotta stay until after DECLAS, until his part in the FISA fuckery is exposed and the spotlight is forcibly thrown onto him again. Notice hardly anybody on TV said more than two words about him being at the presser the other day looking like a reanimated corpse. They know what happened. Or at least are fearful of what his behavior means.
