From a prof emeritus on an Ivy League campus. The old farts on campus still get it:

"For the Mueller Report to state that it could not exonerate President Trump of obstruction is an example of the mischief-making that characterizes Volume 2. . As I understand the presumption of innocence in criminal law, it means that the government's role is to prove criminality if it can. The basic presumption of innocence makes a finding of innocence/exoneration irrelevant, and would even be illogical.

Two further examples of mischief:

  1. Much is made of the Russian lawyer present at a Trump Tower meeting during the campaign. The Report omits saying that this lawyer had repeated and ongoing associations with Fusion GPS, the outfit payed by the DNC and the Clintons to generate the Steele Dossier presented to the FISA court as grounds for obtaining a warrant to spy on Carter Paige.

  1. One person was interviewed by the Mueller team because of a meeting with a Russian. Investigation reveals that said Russian has a record of US jail time and association with the FBI. The Mueller Report mentions the meeting as a suspicious circumstance but omits information about the Russian's FBI connection.

One expects that the Administration's forthcoming comments on the Mueller Report will bring out further glaring omissions."
