Israel consisted of 12 tribes, after the death of King Solomon, it separated into 2 kingdoms…2 tribes in the South became the kingdom of Judah and Jerusalem was there…the other 10 tribes became the kingdom of Israel…but when Solomon was king Israel/Judah were united and Jerusalem was Solomon's capital
