Well, when you read Josephus and the few surviving Hebrew historians it becomes clear what Revelations was. After crucifying Christ the die was cast and the Ancient Hebrews received their wages for the enormous evil they had perpetrated. They were utterly decimated by the Romans and the temple torn down for the final time.
