The "Initiative for a natural economic order" is an free economics union and recognized as a nonprofit organization with a political-educational purpose.
Goals:
Relating to the ideas of social reformer Silvio Gesell, the INWO stands for the implementation of a flow-secured currency (free money) and a groundreform (freeland).
After initial reservation, it supports the current Regiogeld-initiative. Furthermore they stand for a basic income, financed through the taxation of resources and energy use.
The german INWO-group cooperates with the "Christians for a just economical order (CGW e.V.).
Both unions, who together form the the Workgroup for a just economic order, are members of attac.
The union quaterly publishes the magazine Fairconomy, each with aroud 2000 printed copies and of which every edition was made available for free on the internet in 2001.
Eugen Drewermann, Peter Kafka, Hans Christoph Binswanger, Helmut Creutz, Margrit Kennedy, Bernd Senf and others have been spokesmen at seminars.
A widely distributed "interest-fee-
beermat" highlights the 30% interest-fee included in every price.
History
After dissolving the International Economically Free Union (IFU) during a conference on May 21/22 1978 in Constance, Hein Beba and Otto Haag advocated the formation of a new union. After further conferences in 1983 in Constance and Kreuzlingen the international union was created.
As the succesor of the Liberal-Socialist Party (LSP) in 1990 the INWO Switzerland was founded and in 1993 the INWO-D was registered in Frankfurt am Main.
Austrian groups exist as well.
