Interesting you say backdrop. I think you may be on to something. Look at the pathway leading up to the building kind of on the left side. Then the grand (in size) stone staircase. Could this be a stage for something? Why have a staircase in that manner- it could not have been cheap- just to lead up to a faux door?

The paint is not pristine. Check out the wear and fading of where the light fixtures used to be on the temple. The pink/red on the floor is fading as well. These are recent, and definitely desconstruction.

For symmetry and aesthetics I agree, but why have a path leading up to the faux side with stone stairs? Temples, or most building for that matter, have the stairs and pathway leading to the entrance. Also, the flooring is much larger and more decorated on the faux side. It should be on the entrance side, the make-up is off.

this actually makes sense- and add in the blue and white of the building plus the odd images on the floor. Initiation seems very plausible. The whole "backdrop" idea could fit this too- Lead the new iniates down the path, up the stone stairs with a temple-like backdrop.

Interesting, anon. Good thought.

Nope. way off.

And no, I'm not referring to the tiles fading from red to pink. You can see spots of fading within the red AND the pink. Along with the blue. Nothing is ready to install. The metal on top of the building has rust. Things have been removed.

Done here. If you can't understand basic wear and tear you may be out of your league here.
