There is no "right side of history". We are all about to be killed off so some small family and their friends can control AI.
Also, there is no going back. There are countless examples of people's past "sins" being hunted down.

People who have unlimited power have no reason to reward/punish people. That is done for effect.
People are going to have unlimited power soon. They're not going to choose who to keep around based on loyalty because that will be completely obsolete.
I don't care how close you think you are to some inner circle. People who do have connections (and I don't) will be eliminated the most quickly.
