There is plenty of proof, the Nuremberg trials being the cornerstone of all the proof needed. Many of the documents and transcripts of the number of Jews kept were illegally destroyed so the true number can never be known, but 6 million is the confirmed number which is agreed upon by scholars to be a low estimate.
