"Sleeping on the Hump" is a term known by those Anons old enough before Safety Belt and Child Seat laws.

Children had free reign inside the automobile. Two favorite places to sleep in a car was:

1. THE HUMP

2.THE LEDGE OF THE REAR WINDOW

Perhaps I moved in between the two as a child, as my body began to feel the effects of Carbon Monoxide poisoning from sleeping on the hump.

So, to reverse the effects of depleted oxygen from the automobiles hump on the floor, the child would transverse to a higher elevation to the Rear Windows Ledge.
