The bronze statues which are a greenish color, needed their heads to be removed in order to secure the statue from the inner armatures.
Bronze statues even though are hollow have a heavy supporting structure on the inside.
Statues that are made of stone don't need their heads removed in order to be transported. They can secure the stone statues as you see in the picture.
