Supreme Court Rules Against the Mob
The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled on behalf of a business seeking to stop a class-action lawsuit brought forward by an employee.
In a 5-4 ruling the divided the justices along ideological lines, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that under the Federal Arbitration Act, an "ambiguous" arbitration agreement between an employee and their employer does not mean that that both parties agreed to any class arbitration.
The decision is a victory for businesses, as it curbs the kinds of legal action that can be brought against a company.

Ex-ICE director calls for 'nationwide operation' to target asylum seekers in US illegally
Retired Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Tom Homan in an interview that aired Wednesday on "Rising" called for a nationwide operation to target asylum seekers who have stayed in the U.S. illegally.
"I think we step up enforcement," Homan, who served under President Trump from 2017 to 2018, told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton earlier this week. "We've got to remove the magnets that drive people here."
"Make it hard for somebody to get a job. That's one of the reasons why they're coming here," he continued.
"I think ICE needs to get out there and do a nationwide operation of single adults and family units that have entered illegally, claimed asylum, had their due process and been ordered removed by a federal judge and chose not to leave, which is most of them," he said.

Bernie or bust: The Sanders supporters who will back Trump if their man isn't Democratic nominee
โ Bernie or bustโ is their rallying cry, and many supporters of self-described democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., say that they will vote for President Trump if their candidate is denied the Democratic nomination a second time.
After the 2016 election, the Cooperative Congressional Election Study found about 12% of those who voted for Sanders in the Democratic primaries voted for Trump in the general election. There are early signs that Sanders fervor is so strong that this could double in 2020, a development that could hand the White House to Trump for a second term.
An Emerson College poll this month showed 26% of those who support Sanders in the Democratic primaries and caucuses would support Trump over Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., despite their overlapping policy positions.
The Sanders-to-Trump inclination stems in part from the belief that the Democratic National Committee โcheatedโ Sanders in the bitter 2016 primary with the superdelegate system and Democratic staff bias in favor of eventual nominee Hillary Clinton. Concern over establishment control of the nomination process and other aspects of the campaign season persist among Sanders loyalists.

Pennsylvania unemployment rate hits record low
Pennsylvania's unemployment rate dropped in March, becoming the lowest on record as the state noted its highest level of employed citizens in recorded history.
The state's Department of Labor (DOL) reported Wednesday that the state's unemployment rate now sits at 3.9 percent, just above the national unemployment rate of 3.8 percent for March. The state has only hit 4 percent unemployment twice since it began recording the statistic in 1976.
